Perthshire and Pitlochry could have been made for the cycling enthusiast. 

There are many scenic cycling routes in and around the town, ranging from a few gentle miles, or much longer for the more adventerous ! We have a file on cycle routes in Perthshire for you to look at while you are with you, which will help you enjoy the Perthshire countryside. Please note that we also have a store for bikes and a drying room for any wet gear that you may need to dry off after a long day out on your bike.

Specialist cycling company Skinny Tyres offer some unique packages and a real taster of cycling in Highland Perthshire.  We're also excited to announce the they have some courses for 2012 which will be based with us at Craigmhor Lodge & Courtyard.  Courses are in the run up to the famous Etape race and there's also a week long one including entry to the Etape!!  See below for details:

Bikes can also be hired from a Escape Route, a cycling and outdoor shop on Atholl Road in Pitlochry. Their prices are competitve for all types of bikes, with bikes able to be hired on a half day or daily basis. Knowledgeable staff are also on hand to help with any cycling questions. www.escape-route.biz

Pitlochry is also the base for the Etape Caledonian Cycling Event which takes place in May of each year.
