The Pitlochry Highland Games take place on the 2nd Saturday in September each year, and are one of the last Highland Games of the season.
Gates open at 9.30 and the Games start at 10.30.
The event boasts a packed schedule of competitions, entertainment, and cultural displays. Set against the stunning backdrop of Pitlochry's rolling hills, it’s an experience that captivates both newcomers and seasoned attendees.
The games showcases many athletic competitions.
Heavy Events: The caber toss and hammer throw tests strength and skill and competitive Tug-of-war adds to the activities.
Track and Field: Running & cycling races add excitement to the day.
The event also features lively Highland dancing and bagpipe performances, offering a full cultural immersion for visitors. The highlight of the day is the massed pipe bands at the end of the day, around 4:30pm.
