Our Coronavirus Charter
The unprecedented arrival and subsequent impacts of Coronavirus has led us to change how we do some things to help stop the virus spreading and to look out for the health of our guests, our team and our wider community.
We have been working hard to develop policies and measures which are designed to keep both you and our team safe. As a result, we have produced our Covid-19 Charter which details what we are doing to make your stay at Craigmhor Lodge & Courtyard safer and also what we need you to do to help us maintain our Covid-free status.
Whilst we are doing everything we can to keep Craigmhor Lodge & Courtyard Covid-free, please be aware that the contagious nature of covid-19 means that, although we have put in place preventative measures to reduce its spread, the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the virus is still present. We cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed to covid-19 and cannot accept any liability relating to this.

BEFORE YOU TRAVEL
Read through our Covid Charter which will be sent to you in advance of your arrival and is available to read on our website. You might want to pack a few items to use whilst you are here, such as:
- Your own face mask(s)/covering – it’s mandatory to wear a facemask in our Reception and Dining room when not eating or drinking so please bring your own supply of masks with you.
- Disposable gloves if you wear them out and about.
- Hand sanitiser.
Please don’t travel if you have:
- A high temperature (37.8 degrees or higher).
- A new and continuous cough.
- Loss of taste or smell.
- Symptoms of the new Delta Variant: headache followed by a sore throat, runny nose & fever
- Are travelling from an area in lockdown or with travel restrictions applied.
- Have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 14 days.
We need a bit more information about your party before you come to stay. All guests will be asked to complete a Guest Health Questionnaire. This information will be held on file for a period of 4 weeks to facilitate Track and Trace/ Test & Protect enquiries, if required.
You will also be asked to book a breakfast time so we can continue to provide breakfast in the Lodge with physical distancing measures in place.

WHAT'S DIFFERENT
If you have been to stay with us before, you’ll notice that we have had to make some changes in our rooms and across the Guest House to help keep you and our team safe.
We have removed all non-essential items from room such as bathrobes and leaflets and our guest information guides – this information will be available digitally for you to peruse. We’ve provided single use toiletries which you can take home if you wish. Teas & Coffees are single use and there will be a small jug of milk in your room fridge. We’ve also removed the DVD’s from Reception, so remember to pack your favourite books & films. If you would like a bathrobe in your room, please let us know and we’ll make sure this is provided for you.
Your room will have been thoroughly sanitized ahead of your arrival and sealed by our housekeeping supervisor to ensure no-one enters between sanitization and your arrival.
Please note that rooms will still be serviced each day throughout your stay unless you ask us not to. We will service your room when you are out and about but ask that you please open the windows and patio/balcony doors before departing to air the room. Fresh towels and provisions will be provided in your room each day. If you would rather not have your room serviced, please let us know and we’ll make sure our housekeeper doesn’t enter your room and towels/provisions will be left at your door in a sealed bag.
Of course, once you arrive if there is something you need that we haven’t provided, please call Reception and we will leave the item outside your cottage in a sealed bag and knock your door before departing.
There are a number of hand sanitizer stations across the Guest House and we have also provided a small bottle for you in your room.
If there are times when we need access to your room during your stay to carry out essential maintenance and social distancing cannot be maintained, we’ll ask you to leave and we’ll give you a call when it’s safe to return.

CONTACTLESS CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
Contactless check-in and check-out is available without the need to visit Reception. Your room can be accessed after 3pm on your day of arrival and we will contact you on the morning of arrival with your room number. Your key will be attached to your room door when you arrive.
We will charge the debit or credit card provided to secure your reservation on your arrival day for your room bill and any extras agreed. You will be emailed a receipt for the transaction.
Any extras requested during your stay such as Supper Hampers will be charged at the time of request.
When it is time to leave, we ask that you vacate your room by 11am on your morning of departure. Before you leave, please open the windows and French Doors in your room to fully air the property. Please also leave your keycard in your room.

BREAKFAST SERVICE
Breakfast will be served in our Breakfast room. You will be asked to book your table time for each morning of your stay before arrival.
Due to Government guidelines we cannot offer a cold buffet selection and are therefore offering cold options on our breakfast menu alongside our cooked options.

WHILE YOU ARE HERE
We have developed enhanced cleaning to help stop virus spread amongst our guests and our team. From front of house to behind the scenes, enhanced cleaning measures not only mean that we are cleaning more regularly, but that we are zoning in on more high contact areas.
After your room has been sanitised and checked by our Housekeeping Supervisor, it will be sealed to ensure no further access until your arrival.
We have implemented a deep cleaning procedure for all rooms using biocidal cleaning sprays for hard surfaces and for upholstery. These products have the required EN14476 ingredient which has been tested and found to be effective on SARS-Cov-2.
Most cleaning is done with cotton/man made and micro-fibre cloths. After each use the cloths are either appropriately discarded or washed at a high temperature for re-use.
Towels and bed linen have all been washed at 60 degrees and are sealed until required for use.
Our final step in sanitisation is to “fog” each room which sprays a fine mist of biocidal cleaning spray across all surfaces in the room after which the room is sealed.
