Fishing
The river Tummel lies in the centre of Pitlochry, with an estimated 5000 salmon passing through annually. The famous river Tay is also close by with an abundant collection of fishing beats for the beginner to the advanced angler. For more information on any fishing, please look at www.pitlochryanglingclub.co.uk.
Staff at Craigmhor Lodge can arrange fishing on the river Tay on the East Haugh beat. You can now book your rod on the Tay online when you’re making your booking, or just let us know if you’d like this added to your stay and we’ll be happy to arrange. Prices per rod range from approx £75 per day.
We are also able to organise fly fishing with Gary Scott AAPGAI, an experienced fly caster. Please check out his website on www.masterspeycasting.com.
For more information on all fishing on the Tay and recent catches, check out www.fishtay.co.uk.
For the lucky anglers, we are very happy to freeze your catch. We also have a fishing journal to record the number of salmon caught by guests staying at Craigmhor Lodge.
Boat fishing is also available on Loch Faskally for brown trout, grilse, salmon and pike. Rod and tackle can be obtained from the Boating Station on the Loch.
